How to download a YouTube video

  1. Open a public YouTube video, Short, or youtu.be link that you own or have permission to save.
  2. Copy the URL and paste it into the field above.
  3. Confirm your permission, select Find download, and save the available MP4.

The tool selects a progressive MP4 that already contains both video and audio. YouTube often serves 1080p and 4K as separate streams, so those resolutions are not promised here. Private, age-restricted, paid, live, removed, or geographically restricted videos may not be available.

Supported YouTube URL formats

  • youtube.com/watch?v=...
  • youtu.be/...
  • youtube.com/shorts/...
  • youtube.com/live/...

Troubleshooting

Check that the video opens publicly in a signed-out browser and that you pasted the complete URL. If YouTube changes how it serves a video, the resolver may temporarily be unable to find a combined MP4. This tool does not request account credentials or attempt to bypass access restrictions.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to install software?
No. The resolver runs on the RavensMove server and the resulting MP4 downloads through your browser.
What YouTube quality is available?
The available resolution depends on the source. The tool selects an MP4 that already includes video and audio, which is often lower than separately streamed 1080p or 4K formats.
Can I download every YouTube video?
No. Private, restricted, paid, live, removed, or otherwise unavailable videos are not supported. Only download media you own or have permission to save.
Does RavensMove store the downloaded video?
No. The media is resolved on demand and streamed to your browser rather than saved as a permanent file on RavensMove.
